Bibliometric Mapping of Metaverse in Education

This research aims to create a bibliometric map of studies on the use metaverse in education. We used mapping technique from an international viewpoint assess trends area education by disclosing author, publication, keyword, journal, country, and citation factors. Most topic was published Computers Education. Results indicate that Hwang G.J. is most relevant author. National Taiwan Normal University Science Technology are universities. USA has publications, co-authored single-national cited articles overall. China nation with greatest number publications other countries. Denmark regarded as being at top field average citations per article. The terms "augmented reality", "virtual reality" "second life" sub-applications Metaverse environment, often keywords. Over time, we can observe prior “second life”, “virtual worlds” environments” were gradually superseded “augmented reality”, “immersive virtual “VR”. phrase "metaverse" may become one these tendencies. papers this subjected cluster analysis.
